Horizon Private School, Branch, a new school in Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi, UAE, is founded and owned by H.H. Sheikh Hamed Al Hamed. HPS first started on September 3rd, 2008. Since we aim at high standards and quality, the admission committee is very selective, so we had a school running for only 110 students ranging from KG1 to Grade 6 the first year.

Since our aim is to graduate students in grade 12 able to join the top universities in the world, we start preparing our students by implementing a student centered program that engages students in a structured and purposeful framework of inquiry. It also develops their social and educational skills as well as their personality by means of activities that require the students to cooperate, show confidence and practice open mindedness.

HPS is a cosmopolitan school that welcomes students of all nationalities. We believe that an important part of the molding of our future leaders is to enable them to interact with people from other countries, cultures and beliefs.

HPS is and will constantly be in a growing process so that it will accommodate in the near future all grade levels. To ensure the best quality in education, we are opening one or two new grades at a time until we reach grade 12.

Our program embraces a reliable and multi-dimensional curriculum intended for excellence throughout all grade levels. The curriculum follows a systematic approach which allows students to learn, master, and transfer knowledge to new areas. The objectives for each level have been established to assure successive learning for all students. HPS aims to instill and nurture in our graduates a sense of responsibility, a caring attitude and a set of highly admired values such as respect and tolerance for individual differences.

In addition, the program aims at guiding students to productively encounter the future challenges by learning universal beliefs and values that are vital in a constantly changing world.

Currently, the school has between 950 and 1,000 students enrolled into KG1 upto grade 10.
